Free beginner workshops for UK schools and colleges via ‘The Education Pledge’
Mesh Training Ltd. ("Company") provides an in-person 4-hour Gravity Sketch beginner training workshop at no cost, other than those outlined in this dislaimer to schools and colleges across the UK (“the offer”). By submitting a request, the Client confirms they understand the following:
Workshop Availability and Restrictions
Workshops are only available to schools and colleges within the United Kingdom that currently offer a Design and Technology (or similar) course.
The offer is only suitable for Year groups 10 to 13.
Each institution is limited to one workshop per academic year.
Booked workshops cannot be exchanged for a cash value or any other form of compensation.
Bookings are given at the company's discretion.
Only one workshop is available per academic term.
Booking and Deposits
Headsets are available to borrow during the workshop and are subject to a £50 deposit per headset borrowed. Payment is required at the time of booking.
The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after the workshop, provided that the headsets are returned undamaged.
Travel Expenses
The Client must cover all travel expenses for the Company’s trainers.
Travel expenses will be invoiced based on standard mileage rates or public transport costs.
Expenses must be paid within 14 working days to the Company’s business account.
Overdue expenses will incur a 2% interest charge each month thereafter.
Workshop Duration and Structure
Workshops must be completed in one four-hour block or over one day.
Due to logistical and safety considerations, the free workshop is limited to 12 students. Larger groups will need to be split into smaller class sizes and booked as an additional beginner workshop through the Company.
Equipment and Safety
The Client is responsible for providing a safe environment for the workshop and for following all safety instructions provided by the Company’s trainers.
The Client is liable for any damage to the equipment caused by participants.
The Client is responsible for providing a suitable space with adequate internet connectivity, power supply and display screen.
The Client must ensure that all participants are in good health and fit to use VR equipment.
The Company will provide guidelines on the safe use of VR equipment, which must be followed by all participants.
Testimonials and Marketing
The Company requests that the Client provides at least one staff testimonial and five student testimonials for marketing purposes.
The Client is encouraged to repost a case study, supplied by the Company, of the workshop on their social media pages and website.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
The Client must notify the Company at least 10 working days in advance to cancel or reschedule a workshop.
The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to unforeseen circumstances but will endeavour to give advanced notice to the client.
Liability
The Company is not liable for any damage or injury resulting from the improper use of the equipment provided.
Data Protection
Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with any disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By booking a workshop, the Client acknowledges that they have read and understood this disclaimer.
